lurking

Definitely get a wideband

You can get a Greddy MAP sensor (3-bar)
I recommend this for anyone that runs more then 7psi with the ULT.
The Greddy pressure sensor is more stable and therefore provided a more consistent AF tune (approx + or - approx .1 to .15 AF) if using A/F deed back correctly and you have sufficient resolution in you fuel and ignition maps.

I have had to correct supercharger tunes where the supercharger was only making ~6psi and the fuel/ign maps went all the way to 14psi.....

Superchargers cant over boost so why have the maps go to 14psi < just an example of someone not setting up the system correctly.

Take it up to say 8 may be 10 if tuning at higher altitude on a warm day to account for going to seal level in the middle of winter but come on 14 psi

unless you have someone local who you know has a reputation of being brilliant with tuning this particular device
That why the ULT gets a bad rap not very many people know how to set it up correctly, tune it, or try and use it for something it was never intended to be used for ( partial throttle tuning; all though GILES has had great success in this area .)
+ having someone that does know it and tuning remotely still has its limitations/issues.

The expert has mugenrios2k has arrived

I'm up for a challenge.

The only issues/worries i can foresee (that stick out at the moment) is idling etc with bigger injectors but shouldn't be a problem providing the injector pulse width is correct? not forgetting deadtimes, but probably start with the quoted figures for the injector deadtime and then change it based on fuel trim values.

However my friend (tuner) will be on hand.

nope still running the ULT

Even thought I now have a full AEMV2 map that I tuned on a SOT setup race car approx 2000lbs + driver It does not even have a windows (open top car) it was added weight that had to go. ( X prepared)

the ULT corrects for the larger injectors and the opening time difference with a larger injector (hence lag time calculations)

It can in extreme cases of large injectors with large lag times as compared to stock actually start to open the injector before the OEM PCM sends the signal to open it based on the previous opening time ( actually crank/cam angle potion is a better definition then time but that’s getting technical ) from the previous injector signal from the OME PCM.

To determine the final exact injector sizing and lag times you need a OBD reader that can read short and long term fuel trim % adjustments. However usually the spec sheets on the injectors is sufficient to get the car to start and run without any issues. I am just a perfectionist.

Yup i have the 'torque' app for android and a bluetooth OBD2 unit.

I see, so really big injectors you could have a problem due to the nature of the greddy emanage.

Thanks.

I was thinking 550cc or 650cc max planning on running either 10,11,12 psi - undecided at the moment.

Irv - I am up and running at 5 psi (AP1 pulley on AP2).
So your running the larger ap1 pulley on your ap2? ...so your making one less Psi then you should be. Bummer!

LOL...that's until I get a 7 psi pulley...just having the damnedest time finding a 4 inch or 3.8 pulley. No one seems to make them.
