I did the same today and I too had the same result, both on accel and decel.

I find it annoying and if I can rid of it I would. Someone out there must have a fix or know what this may be?

Its a good kit, I have had minor issues, of which had nothing to do with the Kit itself.............Its been good to me, and Should work well when I start to track it
I have no issues with the kit itself. I did a ton of research to ensure this is what I wanted based on my requirements etc. and I am happy with the power and feel that it provides. Thsi howling I could do without though

My car makes a very loud sucking noise, I love it, but get a Boost guage and see what its doing, check couplers etc.............
When I had a loud sucking noise it turns out I had an exhaust leak! 2 of the bolts from the turbo to the manifold were loose, one was tight, and the other was missing! Check to see if there is any play/ looseness/ missing bolts/studs/nuts.

Was the loud sucking noise sound like a howl? I'll have them double check everything again.

Mine is def a howling noise, sounds like it's coming from the right side of the car, definitly under the hood.

The howling noise is completely normal!
mine sdoes the same thing and my old turbo setup in my civic did it much louder. welcome to FI and get use to all the added noises already guys.

on a side note, i think the greddy filter is better than the K & N some of you have mentioned.. the K&N does not have a velocity stack built in like the airinx does, which makes a definite difference. Just my opinion.

Depends on what you're looking for. I think the Airnix is about as good a filter as a screen door. It is awesome at flow, but I'll take engine life for 4-5hp any day. Most performance filters, such as my dryflow, have a velocity stack built in as well.

Coming from myself who NEVER ran a filter on a turbo car ever before....

I think the airinx works just fine!
