[QUOTE=MugenRioS2k,Oct 30 2007, 09:12 AM] Everything in the post is based on the boomslang based harness and not the Greddy plug and play harness make sure to verify your Greddy harness matches the Boomslang setup prior to using anything I say in this post.

I can not post injector duty cycle maps and ignition adjustment map as each and every car is different and I am not willing to take the heat on

The injectors supplied with the kit are the same between the two kits 550cc.

It takes the same amount of fuel to create the same amount of HP regardless of the displacement. A 2.0 going to 9000 making 300 Crank HP and a 2.2 going to 8000 making 300 Crank HP require the same amount of fuel at there respective redlines.

The TPS map is for the AP2 since the larger displacement caused the turbo to produce boost sooner in an area of the Stock tuning that still has the OEM ECU in closed loop. Therefore the TPS clamp/scaling is necessary to trick the Stock ECU into open loop so the ULT and the Stock do not fight each other when boost starts to come in.

Everything else shown is the same between the two models.

are the injectors that are supplied with the kit adequate to max out the turbo with a 3mm hg?
in other words, do you need to switch injectors if you wanna make the most power with this kit?

Assuming your base fuel pressure is 50psi at 0psi gauge manifold pressure

And the 550 supplied were properly specked at 43.5 fuel pressure which is industry standard the 550 are good along the following hp curve assuming

I prefer never to take the injectors above 80-85% because the accepted industry standard is most injectors will max out at 80% duty cycle

THESE HP figures are crank power numbers not at the wheels.
Assuming 80% total duty cycle on the injector
1:1 linear FPR
BFSC of 0.6

Gauge pressure in the Left column and is the pressure in the fuel rail above the base 50 psi pressure effectively the manifold boost pressure

Max supportable Crank hp is on the right

1psi 302
2psi 305
3psi 308
4psi 311
5psi 314
6psi 317
7psi 320
8psi 323
9psi 325
10psi 328
11psi 331
12psi 334
13psi 336
14psi 339
15psi 341
16psi 344
17psi 347
18psi 349
19psi 352
20psi 354

In another words the 550 will only support up to about 350 crank with a hi reliability factor by keeping the duty cycle under 80%

^^ thanks. there isnt too much power to be had with just the kit. u would need new injectors, tune, and a hg to get the most out of it

The Greddy kit is a 300whp kit. Every component is selected for that power level. There is no point in paying for stuff that can make 500whp if you're building a 300whp kit.

If you feel that 300whp "isn't too much power" then the Greddy kit is not meant for you. If you want more than that you're better off going with the inline kit.

But be warned that the inline kit will not do anything at all unless you buy injectors, tune, and a hg. And an AEM to put the tune in.

^^ i know
i want to go FI,but i am worried that i will not be able to enjoy the corners like i am right now. by that i mean i do not wanna fly off the road when i hit boost. i love the inline kit, but it is a bit pricey.

i was thinking about getting the greddy kit and maxing it out with a hg, injectors, and a tune. i think that would put down around 350whp, which would be managable in the corners.

You would love the corner even better since all the max torque would arrived at 3500 rpm, and there is almost no turbo lag.

The injectors are fine for what power the turbo can put out. all you would need is the headgasket, and boost up to 12-15psi and you'll hit around 350whp.

More then enough top end power for our cars, and early power is the best of both worlds.

This is my plan soon as I find a good tuning source for the 07
