best part of greddy kit: taking a long sweeping turn at 4000 rpms, full boost, coming out of the turn at 6k, still with 230-240 ft lbs

I love it as well. It doesn't feel boosted, just faster.

I had my first bout with cooling issues today. Spirited boosting on the freeway this afternoon, since it was cooler today than it was last week. Suddenly, I hit some traffic so I was sitting still for a spell. I noticed that my seatbelt indicator light came on and thought, "herm, that's odd", since I had my seat belt buckled. I thought it was a faulty seat belt sensor until I looked up a little further (AP2) and noticed that my ECT's were two bars past normal operating temps. I have the Modifry's patch for the AEM EMS so my temps read norm at the halfway mark. At this point, I was two bars passed that. Whoopsie!

I pulled over and rested at idle for a moment, parked in front of a little cafe and shut her down under a tree where it was nice and cool. When I came back from lunch, everything was honkie-dorie. WHEW! Won't be doing that again any time soon.

BTW, not sure if this was a feature on the modifry patch, however I do remember reading somewhere that an optional warning light could be programmed in. I'll ask my tuner later on this week.

LOL! If there's one thing I'll say about the Modifry patch, it's brutally honest. I just took her out for another drive and she's behaving normally. I guess I just got caught boosting at the wrong time.

I believe 2 bars on the AP2 is similar to 1 extra bar on an AP1. In the middle of summer when my car was stock, sitting in bumper to bumper traffic with the AC on, I sometimes would hit 4 bars (3 is normal.) Nothing every happened to the car. As a safety feature, on an AP1, your AC will shut off until the car goes back to 3 bars.

OK, so i have to comment on what i previously stated about my boost dropping when i switched from an 80mm catback to a 70mm catback.

Turns out this was untrue!

Once i swapped the 70mm in, i thought i had seen more boost w/ the 80mm, but my memory failed me. I swapped the 80mm back on today, and turns out, i actually hit less boost than i did with the 70mm!! BUT i'm guessing that this is because i was actually tuned on the 80mm and NOT on the 70mm so i was seeing more spiking. On the 70mm I was spiking about 1 psi more than the 80mm. So i'm thinking that the 70mm is big enough for at least 300whp, i just need to get my car tuned on the 70mm to run optimally.

This is good news, because i thought i was giving up some power in order to run a quieter exhaust, however, i can probably still hit 300whp with the 70mm, just need to tune with it. =)
