S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Greddy Upgrade (theoretically speaking)

From everything I've read 10 PSI is all the Turbo is good for. I would sell it and go a different route.

As I already have an EMS, theoretically all I'd need is the bigger snail, wg, bigger injectors and a tune to break 300rwhp and still be carb legally badged.
why would you need bigger injectors to break 300whp? I thought the Greddy kit came with 550 injectors? the highest WHP S2000 on this site with the 550's is Eri_S2K and he's at 400whp (dynojet).

It was 3mm and emanage ultimate if I can remember. Not sure of other mods I would assume he had full supporting mods. He didn't even say how much power it made after the HG install and upping the boost because it was an "embarrassing number"

Moral of the story, be happy at 10psi and ~300hp. If your not, well you bought the wrong kit for anything more then 300ish hp.
s2kart is making 331 whp with meth injection, and he is only at 9 or 10 psi i believe.

i bet if he ran 11 or 12 psi he'd make some pretty decent numbers, at least 350 whp.

I think that the greddy can make more than 300 whp, prob will max out at around 350 or 360 whp with mods such as meth injection and a little more boost. And obviously the money spent getting it there makes it pointless to buy the kit in the first place. But i'm just saying that I think it is possible.

That is true although you hit the point of diminishing returns with increasing the boost. Its been shown that point is around 10-12psi where you will start loosing horsepower.

By all means anyone can try it, I'm not against trying new stuff out (otherwise we would know nothing) I'm just trying pass around known information so people don't try the same mistake over again.

Oh wow! That's awesome.

I think it's harder for the non-cali guys to understand or be able to relate to us residents of the nazi-state when it comes to having that carb-eo number on our heat shields.

I know the ip kit throws down great hp numbers and even the kw kit is a better bang for the buck when it comes to torq and peak numbers. But it's not worth the ref appointment or the headache of putting everything back to stock when the alternative conversation could go like this with the CHP;

"Yes occifer, this turbo kit is completely street legal as evidenced by this California Air Resource Board Executive Order number. What? No, this is the same turbo and manifold that came with the kit (wink) that made this kit street legal in the state of California".

That carb badge makes ALL the difference in the world to us FI guys over here in CA. I would love the higher numbers, but would trade that in a heartbeat for a FI kit that would make my conversations with the California Highway Patrol or the local sheriff's dept. a whole lot easier.

Can I get a witness??!!

K, thanks.

you then need to buy a new manifold in addition to a new DP and fabbing piping..

I think the easiest way is to get the T618z; you would have to fabricate a DP and charge/intake piping.. main benefit is that you get to keep the manifold and everything "greddy", so it is easier to make an argument that this is the stuff that came originally with the kit

if you bought another turbo, you could still keep the heatshield and try to argue it's all greddy, but its prob easier if the turbo actually says greddy on it

Joey balls mentioned something about a cut off at 13psi, can anyone provide more info on the subject, would this be a problem if you wanted to increase the boost with a 2-3mm HG. If so could this be changed. Thanks
That's probably related to the fact that the s2k map sensor max out at around 13psi (or just a tad more). It's been a while since I used the factory map. Can someone confirm this?
