Head is off getting rebuilt and I'm looking to see what head gasket to run. I'm running the stock F22C bottom end and will be installing a PTuning turbo kit after the car is back up and running again. I feel like it would be nice to reduce compression to around 10:1, but that means running an aftermarket thicker head gasket. From my searching here on the forum it sounds like most people recommend running the OEM Honda head gasket. Any suggestions from anyone? Thanks.

 

Yep. oem. Lowering compression via HG is a patch job, not the ideal way to do it, also oem has proven to be the most reliable from failures. Get a proper tune for the fuel you will run and you will be good. 12-15psi/400-450whp on pump, sky is the limit on E85/race fuel, water/meth injection.

 

Thanks. I'll be running E85, so I guess the stock head gasket will be the one then.
