Like the first reply said you need more leverage. I was able to do this on my 05 fairly easily. Leverage the tool in a way that it won't move. THen use a breaker bar and ~3-4 feet of piping. With that much leverage it took me about 5 good yanks with my body weight and broke it free.

I'm gunna make a point here. If the method you used hasn't been proven on a 00-09 S2000 it is kinda irrelevant.

Check step 3, person did put transmission into gear but he used E brake. Anyway i guess it works on s2k as well.

I placed the breaker bar tool against the ground and used a piece of pipe on the breaker bar to break the bolt.

If you read it carefully you'll see that they had a Honda Crank Pulley Tool.

I was holding (with both hands) the special long handle Honda tool to keep the crank pulley from rotating when the bolt is removed, and I was nearly pulled over the fender before the bolt broke loose.
You'll also notice that regardless of having the car in gear and the e-brake on he was 'nearly pulled over the fender' which suggests that with the torque required in gear and e-brake is not enough to stop the engine from turning.

When my mates crank pulley came apart (Supra's 2 piece design) I just jacked the car up, placed a socket over the bolt (full faced) and then had a tonne of leverage and then placed it tight against the floor and cranked over the engine a tiny bit...

starter motor just popped it loose and made it very easy indeed... unsure how much damage this would cause to the starter motor, but if it can (if left in gear) propel a car, then undoing a bolt is bugger all

edit: p.s. ENSURE THAT THE CAR IS NOT IN GEAR!! My dickhead mate was stupid enough to keep it in gear and the car almost land on top of me (I was to the side but still a tyre + fat ass supra on the arm would not be too fun!!!)
don't do this

I used a moroso crank pulley tool, a breaker bar, and a 4ft piece of pipe over the breaker bar...get the crank pulley tool on there and spin ( or crank on the bar ) till it rests against the passenger side shock tower area...then use the breaker bar and a big pipe for leverage and SLOWLY keep applying more and more pressure...DO NOT BASH ON IT or you will strip the head of the crank bolt

just broke a breaker bar... trying to heat up the bolt and then try some yanking...
would it be better if one person held the crank pulley tool and both yank apart?

Thanks
