I would also like to know what high hp guys are running for tires. Im shopping for a new set right now. Im planning on running a square set of Enkei PFO1ss 17x9 +60 but don't know what tires to put on them !?!?!??!
Thats what i have on my car 235/45 17 up front 275/40 in the rear
i think you're going to need anything 255/40 and larger to have any decent traction. i wouldn't expect any traction under 40mph unless boost is limited
my friend has a 500hp/450 tq sr20 240sx with toyo R1R 275/40/17 and they hook up pretty good from a 40 roll
other friend has a ls1 240 and he hooks up from a 40 roll with 600hp/600tq on spray from a 40 with NT05R 275/40/17
Another friend has the Toyo R888's on his cobra that makes like 700hp/800 ft lbs but they're 295's or something but he doesnt spin
it's all about contact patch and if you have a little bit of a softer sidewall. you're gonna spin every where with a hard thin sidewall

I ran nt05 on my 16psi charger, love the tire til 50% tread life, then it seemed to never be able to hook. I was at 377 rwhp, bumping to a turbo this year and I definitely wouldn't recommend NT05. I'll look into mickey T's next but thought I'd throw my opinion out there on nt05.
Mickey Thompson makes what they call their drag radial II, they are a soft rubber drag radial made for big wheels that are lower profile but still work awesome. They are made of the same compound as their regular drag radials just less sidewalk for bigger wheels. My bros corvette has them on stock z06 wheels and they work amazing, cuts 1.7x 60ft at the track and the same on the street, no slipping at all but his converter helps with that too
