It does take a lot of skill not only to install but to buy those "right" parts at the right price. Maybe I was not seeing what you are after and that is my bad. You are trying to make a drag car not a track car or a high performance street car. In a drag car you really do not care about going around corners, stopping, cooling, safety, reliability or appearance just going from point A to point B.

I think you still need a clutch, a tuning platform, dyno time, tires and wheels, exhaust system, and a full turbo kit, 4K is a pretty tight budget. Maybe some with the skills and the connections could do it but it is not a given that anyone could do it.

For totally different type of build, that gives you an idea of what can be done to make the car all around better and not just a drag car take a look at this 23 part build.

Didn't a member, Termination I believe, run 11.7 with 355whp? Guess he had a serious driver mod.
Yeah, he's got his shit together lol. Had a good set of slicks and a perfect launch too.

I'll be going to the strip sometime in the next couple months to see what I run. Hoping to at least hit low/mid 12s rolling off the line on my 245 RE11's

My one recommendation to OP is regardless of what supercharger/turbo option you go with, find a nice reputable kit to install (Full Blown, Full Race, PFab...)
No slicks. Not even drag radials.

Granted that dyno read super low. Betting it would have read more (400-450?) on others... but who knows.

Anyways, video here:

Awesome video! A lot of power up top and no wheel spin. Seems a shitload more power than in the 370hp or whatever it was.

Mate be prepared to spend 10,000, trust me you will end up paying someone else to do the work. Make that 12,000 to be sure.

Season is drawing to close(depending where you live). Looking forward to hearing about the epic 11 second pass. Dollars to donuts I bet you have a some mechanical issue bite you in the ass. Do get me wrong, the best of luck, I really want you to succeed.

Is the new clutch included in your 4k budget?

and you are doing all the work yourself, and have all the tools necessary to do so. Great to have a lift when you are doing a clutch.
