just to toss out there, i have had rod knock scares that ended up being the exhaust hitting the rer subframe. i have my exhaust all v-banded and musta just went in a haair more crooked than i built it. was strange though as it was only certain rpms and it sounded much like that second video.

I'd be pretty pissed if that's all the power it made.....let alone the longevity of this motor will also be seriously suspect seeing the issues OP is having. For perspective, my stock F20 made 427whp on roughly the same amount of boost on pump gas. Understandably the stock F20 is 11:1 CR, but still.....that extra displacement plus running on ethanol still couldn't net more power? Either that motor has serious compression problems right out of the gate or their tuning sucks.....

Not trying to knock IP, and I'm only going off of the details I've seen and heard from others....but if I sent a car to have a motor built and spent 10 grand on the process only for it to come back making 406whp on E60....I'd be a little upset.
while im not defending ILP, i don't think it's fair to start blame on an intricate boosted F24 setup without laying out all the pieces.. did your friend run out of injector/fuelpump? E60 is much fluffier than pump 91-93, if he had small injector or not enough fuel pump, they could have stopped it early. just saying, it's probably not an apples to apples comparison between the two lol

Cut apart the oil filter today.

I tried to get pics, hopefully it comes through. The oil in the filter looks like one of my daughters glitter projects... The filter media has gold and silver pieces all through it. I’ll get better pics of it later.

I can see it in the last pic. Sorry to hear. What are your plans with the motor?

did you drain the oil for an oil change? there should be way more in the drained oil than in the oil filter, though it likely doesn't matter. sorry to hear, that sucks.

No idea, I'll part it out this winter I suppose. I doubt there is a market for a built motor with a bearing problem.. haha.
