My TCT would make noise only on warm starts. I took it apart stretched the springs and enlarged the oil inlet port. It's been quiet ever since. I'd go with Billman's TCT

Hey, FYI, if you want to know if its the TCT, just change the oil, mine was really bad but oise would go away with new oil, at least for a few miles

looks like I may have wasted some money on what I could have done myself, Ill try the thing with the oil and see if it still ticks, but this tick sounds like the tct is just broken now, it would tick from time to time idling but not like this

Do the tct fix and stop using crappy oil with low zddp levels. Mine has been fine for over 3 years of abuse with different size headgaskets and all.

I agree, but I had 2 go bad when I was na. First time I put new oil in the car and I didn't hear it for a few miles. Second one I put new oil in and it didn't change a thing. Id say it's worth a shot tho.

Oil without high ZDDP is more than likely the culprit to the TCT's going bad. I've always run good Amsoil with very high ZDDP and not one problem out of mine. Although the car only has 16k original miles. LOL
