amsoil may be a little better, but you can run the mabil 1 turbo diesel all day, I get it bc it has good zddp levels and I can get it on amazon

Also looking for a TCT, I think Tomei got an upgrade and maybe Skunk2 if the K-series work.
Maybe time for a GB?

just sandblast the worm gear and use a better oil. No need for a new tct

Yup, this why I use Mobil 1 Turbo diesel

yes sir, little update on my issue, did leak down test, every cylinder is good, valves seem fine, when I run the car it seems the ticking is coming from inbetween cylinders 2-3, I am wondering is the sound from the tct just seems like its coming from there, resonating through the engine, or if i have another problem altogether, car is already in pieces again(cams off, next manifild and turbo stuff to get to the pos tct), will install the new tct next week and see if that has fixed my ticking, I am thinking maybe I cracked a timing chain guide, or it could just be the tct(hopefully)

Is 5w40 to thick for Texas heat? I was thinking of switching over but I'm a little hesitant.

Im running mobil1 15w50 in Toronto. Highest zddp levels found out of any of the Mobil 1 oils.

A new tct will not fix the problem. I've spent the $240 on a new tct just to have it fail again. Switch oils and sandblast the worm gear and be done with it.
