Sounds like good info Black Nugget.

I've taken care of the upgrades for the drivetrain to a point. ACT heavyduty street strip clutch with Comptech flywheel and Comptech differential. Still will have to get drive shafts and eventually change out diff again for something stronger.

Well gotta go get on my plane.

Thanks

In all honesty - pushing over 700whp I do not suspect that the ACT Heavy Duty Street/Strip Clutch will last too long for you. You didn't mention a pressure plate with that, however being that you went with the ACT Street Strip I would assume you opted to go with the ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate as well. This is the common combination that I have seen.
When my car is back up and running I will be putting a significantly less amount of power to the wheels, however do not suspect a problem eating through my ACT 6 Puck, ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate, and Comptech Flywheel Setup... which is designed to hold a lot more power than the street strip can.

My suggestion - after you pull the engine for the build, go ahead and replace the clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate. It will be right there, easily accessible - much easier than worrying about it at a later time!

Spoolin, with all do respect - you may wish to rethink your goals and dreams. I am not trying to discourage you in any shape, way, or form... I would love to see you make 450whp on just 10psi!

However you must consider the man himself, Cody Lovefab! Click Me

Cody Lovefab... running 16psi on his turbo kit with approximately 110 octane gas put down merely 469.1 whp. Then on 13psi he was able to do 419whp.

Now, you could be saying - "We'll Cody was also using a 2mm headgasket while I am at stock compression."

That is a very good point, thank you for bringing this up!

Perhaps the additional static compression will assist you in reaching the similar horsepower range, while being 6psi less. Yet on the same note, I have a good feeling that him using the GT4088R is a major factor as well. You could be running that turbo, but reading your posts you definitely sound like you know a thing or two. If you do, you would know that having a GT4088R and only pushing 6psi is a tad bit of an overkill!

Just my input
You have to remember too that Cody's engine was ragged(Compression was down according to Cody) and they didn't tune it for very long because he didn't have the time, but he could have very easily hit 500whp on 16 psi and C16 and 450 or so on that 13 psi run. They only did a quick safe tune and see what it would do.
