Will a setup with the stock ECU and an e-manage throw a CEL if things like the air pump or secondary 02 sensor are missing?
Im actually unsure about that air pump question but I know the absence of an O2 sensor will throw a code, and Im pretty sure the emanage shouldnt cause any to pop up. On your air pump removal did you just get an egr blockoff and plug your vacuum lines? Ill be doing the same thing and was wondering the consequences of that as well

If you think its bad now, just wait untill Obama passes his cap and trade, all states will then be required to adopt California style emissions standards! Talk about a pain in the ass.

Well yes I know you can clear the cel from the absence of the air pump with the EMS but I wanted to take it out while I was on stock ecu before I put everything on the car. Because if I cant, Im going to have to bolt that hoe back up next year when the car needs inspected again

go get some peak/hold rc370ish cc injectors so you dont have to remove the resistor, the car likely wont run with stock injectors + resistor box.

You should be able to use a couple spark plug defoulers to keep the lack of a cat from throwing a CEL, get the air pump delete kit and you should be fine.

Most people arent too interested in the visual inspection, that'd be all you had to worry about was them actually looking under the car for a cat.
