they didnt put imobilizers in integras till 99 if i remember correctly.

if the vin's dont match then the inspection people will catch on..

as i said, pretty much all of my inspection hookups here were fined big time and lost their license.

Ok well how do you explain this. Your original ecu in the car fries and you had to buy another one perhaps locally from a junkyard or individual. How does the state/inspection office respond to that claim

If you think its bad now, just wait untill Obama passes his cap and trade, all states will then be required to adopt California style emissions standards! Talk about a pain in the ass.
never thought id say this, but I miss the George bush days now..

if you replace the ecu, you have to take it to honda so they can fix the imobilizer for the car to work

im sure they catch on when theres a trend but i doubt one is going to cause issues. he isnt doing it for anyone who wants to. even if they caught on to it i know they wont revoke their license for one mistake.

So Casey are you saying the inspection place would still get a "strike" on their license, it just wouldnt be revoked immediately? I still dont see how Raleigh is going know about it unless you tell them

i have friends that have been caught not properly inspecting cars and not immediately lost their license. the reason they got caught was the length of time their logs showed from when the inspection was received and completed. it was too short to fully do all tests. then they sent a vehicle to be inspected to "catch" them.
