that's scary to think someone was running the SC with the stock fuel pump....

They said they used the 10:1 with an adjustable fpr or something and worked great for stock boost.

Wrong kind of plug. That's a 37degree JIC flare plug, not a NPT pipe plug.

I wouldn't run a FMU of any type without the Walbro pump.

Damn so what is an NPT plug? I don't know what to look for. I didn't see anything at all that said NPT on it.

I do have a 255 Walbro pump brand new I will be using.
Just wondering about the FMU if it will be too rich using the 10:1 over the 12:1 that normally is used.

10:1 is the rising rate, since it is a lower rate than 12:1, it will have lower fuel pressure and be leaner.

NPT = National Pipe Thread. It's a tapered pipe thread, the sizes are for it's inside diameter, not outside. 1/2 NPT is larger that 1/2 NPT on the outside. The inside hole is 1/2

Ok maybe I have a 12:1 not sure but I know the previous owner had one changed to supply more fuel than normally.

Would a store carry an NPT plug like the one I need? I looked all through the plumbing department and what I bought it the only 3/8" plug I found.

I didn't use the fmu i bought an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and as long as your tuning it with an emanage or aem you will be fine the fmu is designed to work with the black box that comes with vortech unit.

I am not using anything to tune it right now. Will just be stock boost and black box and all.

Finally completed the kit including all the gauges I need and larger front mount heat exchanger.
I got an AEM wideband for $179.99 shipped brand new off ebay and hate to say it but bought a Glow Shift 2 in 1 gauge. Really didn't want to run 3 gauges so got the Glow Shift digital boost/oil pressure 2 in 1 gauge so now I can only mount 2 gauges on the A pillar with Autometer gauge pod I bought.

The stock pulley is in the mail to me so once that arrives I will have everything needed as far as I can tell.

Psyched!

Once you start putting it on I'm sure you will find a few small things you might still need...its the nature of the beast...
