the bronze valve guides help pull heat off the valve and if you have worn guides in you heade already you might consider it a good time to make the change. Seals are tricky beacause in my exprerience you get a little more oil consumption out of the ferrea and supertech valve seals compared to OEM seals. they have their reasons for that but needless to say i would not skimp when you are completely building a motor like what you have planned. I like supertech but when it comes to quality my money stays on that #ferrea status
i run the competetion plus ferrea valves. 1000hp with no issues on my supra and 900 on the f22
good luck with the build
F1953 intake valve F1952 exhaust valve
part#s
for sub 600hp im sure new oem's are just fine

Yeah not shooting for anything high anymore, and since I already know the capabilities of the turbo kit is 657@22psi on E85, I am not looking to push it past that ever again. As for right now its going to be tuned to 10psi and I will just enjoy it so I do not see any point of going crazy with valves and guides. The head im putting on only has 26K on it.

So far this is plan.

Head:
Used head with 26k that I bought. Its missing the cams, so I will swap the stock ones out of my head.
SuperTech Dual Valve Springs/TI retainers
leaving everything else stock on the head.
ARP Headstuds

Block:
Brian Crower H Beam Rods
CP pistons 11.0 Compression (leaving it stock)
ACL Race Bearings
OEM Headgasket kit

I think thats it.

I don't think im going to sleeve it. I don't see the need for it since im going to push a max output of mid 600s if I ever push it that hard again, although im not planning to at the moment. Stock sleeves will be fine.

someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong but you cannot use anything but mahel pistons or however they're spelled because they're the only ones that will work with the stock sleeves
Cp je and all the outhers you have to have the block sleeved

You'll need pistons that are compatible with FRM sleeves (Mahle; possibly others)
