It would probably be safe to bring major tools along as well as oil and other fluids. Your a long way from home if something should go wrong.

I did not know that driving a turbo is so unreliable that you can not travel 2000 miles without worry about heating, repairs, outside temp

I just took a 1,500 mile trip in my car. It's S/C but has 4.77s. Cruising at ~80-85mph at 5100+RPM the whole time. Never saw over 3 bars. I did however bring half of my tools, OBDII scanner, service manual, and lots of fluids.

It isn't but with ANY car traveling that far, it usually a good idea to have some equipment just in case something should happen; two thousand miles is a longggggggggg way from home. I'd hate to get stuck that far without anything to help my problem whatever it may be.

I've also never heard of overheating issues when your cruising 80mph on a freeway; highly doubt it

ok I see, but for the comments above from other members seems like a turbo is not the best mod for long trips; do not understand me wrong, I had a Turbo kit on the S before and worked without any problems and made long trips + track session on the same day with a SC and everything went perfect.
