Aw, bummer. I love this project and have really been pulling for its success (as I want to follow in your footsteps).

Hope you get it sorted and back on the road soon. GL.

Btw, can you put these pics in a public album? I'd love to be able to get a closer look @ the pics.

Hmmmmm same oil filter I had when my engine blew. Although I don't think it was the filter.

Try looking into the Hamp filters. They are supposed to be very good and I have been using them for years on the S with no problems.

What makes you think a baffled oil pan would have helped anything here?

Yea a baffled oil pan would not have helped since I was going in a straignt line. also I think my right foot was really the cause for the failure . Too much boost, Also I may have had a little too much timing at 19 psi, than I should of. I am going back to an oem filter from now on.

On a side note I am rebuilding the motor right now, But I found a problem, If you are using a f22 crank in a f20 block you have to notch the base of the cylinders for rod clearance. I installed the crank last night and when I tried to turn the crank the rods were hitting the cylinder base. Now I have to pull it apart again and notch the cylinders .

Sorry to hear that you learned about Fram filters the hard way. I assume you were using an Extended Guard 3593A Fram filter? If so, thats a universal filter for all Hondas filters from Fram. Theres a reason why Honda gave us a different filter than other Hondas.

Good luck to you with your project.
