Thanks for all the kind comments

The v-bands really make a difference, well worth the few extra bucks IMO

I'll have numbers on October 10th - hoping for 525-535 rwhp

Question, I see you went with a 7lb spring, I remember reading that you can generally only boost to 2x the spring safely, so for example you can go to 14psi, however anything more than that will be unstable? Is this true or did I just dream this?

you dreamed it, because i have a 7.25psi spring and can go past 20psi easily and hold that to redline.

If you plan on running really high boost levels (25+) it may be restrictive

I know Minitoyota had issues when he tried to hit high 20's/ low 30's with such spring and it wouldn't hold

Most tuners will not push a wastegate spring past 2-2.5x the spring rating (depending on whether the WG is a quality unit or a cheapo).

I would go with a 1BAR spring... You should not be any lower than 14.7psi on your low boost setting anyway (with the lowered compression)... I was running ~405rwhp on a 1BAR spring on my old setup (9:1CR built motor). Driving around town, with that turbo, you will not be in boost anyway...

You do not want to damage the wastegate (I have heard that if you boost too high on the lower spring, it can damage the plunger in the wastegate, as there is too much of an imbalance in pressure once the boost solenoid lets go at peak boost).

Your turbo also comes off very straight and mine has a hard angle that sets my ELT manifold apart from others.
his manifold is a vband manifold so he can basically mount it however he wants, even backwards. obviously he cant/wont because its just stupid, but he can point it to the side at a slight angle if needed as long as it doesnt interfere with the frame/fitment of the kit. it pivots on the vband flange.

lol, thanks for telling me what I already know. No, you see my manifold is made by pfab also and it has a different wastegate placement and so my turbo has a different angle than his. Even though he has vbands it will still only fit a certain way, and his is designed to come off straight because his wastegate is in a different spot and I use a standard T3 4 bolt housing. So dont try to tell me what I altready know.....mmmmkay?
