Evans is a VERY smart shop, so I am guessing you mis-heard him if he told you the manifold was the problem.......

Your maxing out the efficiency of that turbo. Certainly you could push the VE higher if you went with a larger A/R turbine side, but to say the manifold is what is holding the car back makes no sense.

I will assume then you came to that conclusion yourself. And if it was evans that told you that, I will assume you mis-understood them because from what I hear they are better than that.

Do you think its possible you mixed up hearing him when he said the turbine A/R and wheel size are the restriction instead of the manifold? Because its not the manifold....

Next you'll say something stupid like, "maybe I should get a inline pro log manifold so I can put out over 500 hp like the other guys with the log manifold since its more efficient" :-)

Clearing up the confusion

flexer: not to take away from Greg's dyno (which is more power than you will ever need Greg!), but there have been quite a few GT3076 .82 AR tuned by Evans that have made more power. The difference? It was a FR vs. Pfab manifold...

535whp @ 17 psi - FR GT3076 82 AR

495whp @ 16.5 psi - FR GT3076 82 AR

500whp @ 18 psi - FR GT3076 82 AR

488whp @ 18 psi - PFAB GT3076 82 AR

Again, Greg isn't going to miss the 20 or so whp when you have 488!!

It can not be the manifold. Lets say an S2000 puts down 200whp stock and you put down 385 at only 9psi. Thats roughly 20whp per 1psi. Then you made 488 at 18psi which now is only a little over 11whp per 1psi for the next 9psi. See how the efficiency is going down. To further prove the manifold is not the problem, you gained less then 10whp going from 18psi to 20psi.

Has the Pfab ELTM been used with a bigger turbo yet. I have only seen posts with the 30r. Anyone with a 35r or bigger use this manifold yet?

JoeyBalls, when is your car hitting the dyno. I know its a twin scroll but it should prove that the manifold can make power.

congrats greg! Never met you, but am a Metro member. Hope you can enjoy the car for a few more weeks before those summer tires lose all their traction!
