Mahle s2k pistons
any updates from anyone on how these bad boys are doing? I recently had detonation issues in my motor, now im getting nasty white smoke blowing out of my crankcase breather valve on top of my valve cover.. I think I want to go this route! Im boosted, and REALLY want to try these as my first option for my motor rebuild!
I have them re-coated in my sleeved engine and soon time for tuning/dyno. Will also build a spare block with stock sleeves and these pistons.
I´ve seen many dead F20´s the last year and they all have broken piston rings and scratched cylinders, both stock and boosted engines. I bet these pistons will solve the problem.
Never seen any trumpet shaped cylinders either and think they will survive a lot of boost. Most engines you sleeve have weak cylinders moving around and changing shape but looks strong in our engines.
The only sad thing is that good blocks are rare since most people kill them before they go this route and the scratches are too deep for Mahle´s.

I have some 87.5mm mahles in +6cc being made.. doesnt do much good for you guys but they will make them in bigger bores sizes on request for a small upcharge.
Since they went up in price again, I have been dry sleeving blocks and using wiseco pistons. It comes out to about $150 more than going the mahle route, but its much easier to find a machine shop to do the dry sleeves than it is one with experience with frm
