MAP question
Hi,
Im going to be fitting a Vortech S/C and using the FMU instead of an aftermarket ECU.
The MAP voltage is 0-5v but whats its range? Can it read +ve boost or does the FMU fiddle this in some way?
Reason I ask is that im using a PLX wideband which has input for boost, using the MAP signal. It uses a 0-5v scale so just wondering how this will work when there's 7psi going through it, in terms of the voltage output?

Our MAP reads boost that is why you have to use the box that vortech/comptech gives you to limit the amount of voltage the ECU sees. I think the limit for the stock MAP is 11psi but I could be wrong.
Thanks.
I recall it being able to read 11 psi, which would mean that would prob be 5v max.
Does anyone definately know the 0-5v scale of the MAP then? I presume its linear. If I know that, I can set up the boost relationship for the MAP on the 0-v scale of the PLX.
