Shftat9k, I am running a Boost a pump on my setup with e85. Output is set at 16.5v and fuel pressure is at 50psi at idle. I am running ID2000s. Plenty of fuel here. I would be curious at what fuel pressure/ voltage would need to be used to accomplish this on the ID1000s. I know the idle will be cleaner for sure. If we had mor time, I may have experimented more with this.

Are all of you running the BAP running a 3psi+ trigger with the walbro or is it just on all the time? where did you mount the main unit?

I am running the BAP on the stock pump always ON right now seems to be fine.
Just want to get some opinions cause am switching to walbro now and if running at 17v makes the pump loud?

I've been told by both Domestic and Honda guys to wire it always on, and NOT use the trigger.

Is that healthy for the pump? Would it not over heat with that much voltage going to it the entire time? What was the reasoning behind not using the trigger?

No.

It's not always shoving 17v down it's throat. It only allows more voltage to be transmitted as it needs.

Thats my understanding anyway.

Hooking up a trigger, is one more thing to do, and isn't needed.

My buddy has an 03 Cobra w/dual walbros and has his running all the time.

Question for you guys. I just ordered the Boost-a-spark and I was going to order the BAP as well, but after I explained I was running a single Walbro 255, he said I would need the 40a, I thought I read we would need the 20a, anybody know which is the right one? I am 99% sure its the 20a version

I'm sure you know this by now, but the 20a version is for a single pump, and the 40a version is for dual pumps.

For example, 03 cobras come with dual pumps, hence the reason for the 40a version.

I was told that with a Walbro, you need the 40A version since the Walbro runs at 30A. OEM pump is fine with the 20A version.
