Happened right at the end, got a look in the motor with a scope and the piston doesnt look that bad. Pulling the motor when I get up and I'll try and get it on a stand and start taking it apart.

Jesus man, real sorry to hear that. Sounds like you've got the right attitude about it however. Here's to hoping damage wasn't too extensive

sucks to hear but at least you did a burnout when induction performance built my motor it didn't even make it off the dyno dropped a valve destroyed the entire motor(fully ported and polished over $5k in the head alone) and my $3k+ turbo

Thats a f@#king bummer dude, I did get to drive it and do a few rips on the street before the dyno at least. One plus side is that it was done getting tuned before it happened, I'll put the head back on after its all fixed and get to drive it right away. I took the head off yesterday and got a better look, piston isnt too bad. I'm gonna polish it out and drop the head off at the machine shop and have them look it over. Heres a few pics and another vid on the dyno.

Heres the one in number 4 that was missing a keeper.

Heres what the retainer was like when we pulled the cams, number 4 still this is the one that bent a lot.

And heres 2 more exhaust valves in number 3, they were about to drop also.

And you can sorta see it broke a guide in number 4, probably gonna have ferrea guides installed in the whole head.

And the valves, glad they were ferreas or they most likely would have broke right off and destroyed the motor. The really bent one took out one valve seat too, so one valve seat/guides and possibly new springs/retainers then I'll get it back on there.

And a run on the dyno of it hitting boost cut, LOVE the sound of the turbo.

Sorry to hear, just an FYI, Supertech valves take a beating at well, I bent two pretty good and they did'nt just break apart. Good luck with the rebuild, hoping my IP built head lasts a loooooong time

Why do you think it dropped valves? Were u using AP1 or AP2 keepers? Most of the aftermarket valves require AP1 keepers.
