My corolla runs again! AP86
That's why you install a quality valve on a built motor. They bend and not break.
Could always me worse, good luck.
Also, that air filter is probably restricting airflow to your snail. I've not seen many filters that flow the amount of cfm's that a turbo needs.

Joey: Thats good to hear, I've just seen more than one of my friends lose an entire motor to a supertech valve thats why I say it.
jaundice: Its got ap1 keepers, the box that came with the supertech stuff said on it to use 7 degree keepers previous to 2004.
irish/b52: Honestly it looks like the valves floated, but with the dual valve springs it seems really hard to believe.
siadam: I'll do a comparison on the dyno next time I get on to see how much of a difference it makes. We did a couple back to back pulls on my friends accord and only lost 6hp at 520hp but he had a different filter. I really just dont wanna suck in a bunch of shit driving down the road, I dont have any factory plastic left under the car or in the wheel wells.
gsx: It seemed to be doing good, just driving around it shifted nice. Finding 5th sometimes is hard but I think I just gotta drive it a little more. As soon as it goes back together I can try shifting at high rpm and see how it does.

I have seen alot of dropped/bent valves and never seen keepers jump out like that. The ONLY way for the keepers to come out assuming they were installed properly is for the retainer to be held down while the valve is pushed up. You had to either have something interfering or they werent seated into the groove properly from the get go.
