Lucky the car didn't catch fire! I lost 3 engines to oil related issues (pre S2K)... guessing oil light went on and lots of blue smoke? Hopefully you shut her off right after....

Hopefuly you can resolve your issue and didn't ruin the main brgs... I'd really look into why it happened after dyno runs and some shakedown time so it dosen't happen again! Good luck.

Thanks guys... we should be getting a new seal this week, and putting it all back together and trying it again.

the oil relocator is a Canton, so not sure what is up with it.. I hope the bearings are ok.

Well, Got some sad news yesterday..

We got the new seal for the oil filter relocator, and put everything back together.. but The car is now knocking from throwing all the oil out of the motor. so it looks like we are taking everything back out and redoing all the bearings in the block.

Nothing seems to go right with this car.

This is the reason that I don't run a mani that needs oil filter relocated. That freakin sucks.

well just pulled the motor out this weekend and got it apart today..

piston 1 and 4 are shot.. Now since i am at 89mm bore, I get to order a new piston for cylinder 1 as the sleeve was not damaged, and a customer piston for cylinder 4 since it scored the wall of the sleeve.. plus new rings for the other 2 pistons..

took a look at the block and it seems that is was done by heat, not by loss of oil, just seemed that the oil came out at the same time.. crank and all bearing are perfect which meens i got it shut off in time to not do any damage due to loss of oil..

Now the kicker is that turn around time on a customer ordered piston is 3-5 weeks.. what a pain in the ass.. I guess in the meantime i am ordering a new radiator and spoon thermastat, and some other cooling goodies to make sure that it does not happen again..

I can not catch a break with this car.
