do you have a FMIC? I do and i usually see 4psi with the 4.6 5.7psi pulley. Next year ill be using the AP2 CTSC pulley to get 7psi...but most likely will be at 6psi from the front mount.

I'm geared at 4.30 and 1st gear is useless above vtec and second breaks loose starting at 8k through redline, i'm at 8psi. Those 4.77's would be useless at anything more then stock 5.5 psi.

nightcrawler your blower/psi is norm. You might have a seal starting to go bad but likely its your oil feed line leaking slightly, its common but likely you are norm at your 5.5 psi level with stock 4.25" pulley.

Its safe to say that any psi level above stock 5.5 is going to be best spent on stock 4.10 gearing. Thats assuming your still using stock tire/wheel sizing which also has a great affect.

More like 5psi. Don't get your hopes up on 6

With your fmic you could easily run a 8psi 4" sos pulley like me and only get 5.5-6psi. Think bigger my friend, your going to be disappointed if this is what your expecting. By the way, the stock pully is 4.25 when measured properly to sos spec and the Ap2 pulley is 4.20, good for another 1/2 psi if your lucky with a fmic.
Ok, I did alot of testing, and with the UR FMIC I only lost 1 psi. Sometimes I saw 5psi. I sourced the AP2 pulley because I did not want to risk running more than 7psi because im still running the FMU. Either way, if I do infact only get 5 psi, ill order a smaller pulley from SOS. Not a big deal. Ill do what ever it takes to reach 7psi.

I just went through measuring the AP1 pulley and after talking to CT-Engineering. the specs of the pulleys are this:

AP1 99-03 = 4.6
AP2 04-05 = 4.3
AP2 06+ = 4.1

Thats how CT-Engineering measures their Novi 1000 pulleys. SOS might round down, but those are the numbers they gave me...

i'm really starting to wonder why everyone says the 4.25" pulley is 7psi on AP1 then...

The AP2 revs to 8k. So in order to still push 5.5/5.7psi at redline they needed to make the pulley slightly smaller. But when you put the AP2 (4.2/4.3 whatever you want to call it) pulley on a AP1 it will net you 7psi.

what im saying is that i never get higher than 5.5psi at 9k rpm. maybe it's because i have the aftercooler...maybe it's 7psi with the straight pipe to the throttle body?

that could be. So you too have the AP2 pulley on? Is the belt tight? CT engineering claims a .5psi lose with the aftercooler...

That is correct. 5/ 5.5 psi with aftercooler and 6-7 psi without

And yes SOS measures different, from the inside of the where the belt rides, that's the true size anyway, the lip or guide that holds the belt in can be different lengths and has no bearing on the psi given so its not as exact way to measure. If your curious go to SOS website you will find a measurement/psi breakdown from stock all the way down to 3"/15psi They give general whp gains and sporting mods for each level as well, its good stuff.
