Thumbs down need to notch frame

Hello im currently installing a custom turbo kit, and I need to notch the frame. How many of you notched the frame and how? What are the disadvantages of notching frame? Does the frame need to be reinforced when notched?

THanks
-Alex

I have not notched it but my turbo is super close and makes contact on a hard left turn. You will have a lot more room to do the work for the notch if you perform it while the head is off the car (assuming you will be installing a new head gasket).

I'm staying with stock head gasket. My turbo won't fit perfectly on the manifold being because it won't fit.

Have you considered installing Mugen or Spoon motor mounts? They're stiffer, but you don't sacrifice in cabin comfort.
