Did you overnight it or something?

A Goodyear Gatorback 6-rib, 41.5" belt (which is what I run on my SOS kit) is $20.69 from Summit Racing + $4.95 for ground.

Please don't blame the tuner for your car having mechanical issues.

The tuner just called and found a boost leak in one of the couplers and now is running at 13.8 psi but only producing 280whp (on a mustang dyno) they said the reason for not high horsepower is because the headers is a 2" downpipe and therefore having to change the timing to match the exit air.

Does that even make since for it to be 100whp off from where it should be? I have 3 inch exhaust with test pipe.

I am very unknowledgeable when it comes to this but I was just wanting to hear someone elses expert advice.

Something isn’t adding up. First of all I have to correct you, you don’t have "headers"... you have a header, and there is no "down pipe" since its not a turbo. I assume you meant the collector portion of the header where it mates to the cat? 2"/50mm is smaller then OEM. You sure it isn’t 60mm? Mustang dynos read the lowest, but not this low when you should easily be making like you say 380whp with 13.8psi on this dyno.

I know... They are not telling me something or they don't want to deal with it anymore.

Im picking it up and bringing it to someone else who knows what to do.

Thanks for the corrections s2000Junky!

No problem, you should learn the proper terminology if you want to be taken seriously by most people in this forum. Hope you can get this situation figured out.

See here is where my problem is. I bought the car with the Vortech supercharger, aftermarket header (unknown maker), and exhaust already installed.

Brought it to a honda dealer before purchase to exam the integrity of the engine and everything turned out good.

A week after purchase a was told by a good friend to have a tuner down in Houston to look at it, Cause only they can tell you if this set up is safe. I was like, "its not safe?"

So I brought it down to a place called Secret Services Auto. Very high class and very experienced. Told that I need to get Many things upgraded, so they gave me a list of things they would purchase for the car: total = $3767.40 (with labor and tuning).

They made it sound so imperative that I switch to a standalone ECU, Bigger injectors over stock, bigger exhaust, map sensor, tunning and dyno test.

So I decided since there upgrading all that, might as well up the boost. So after weeks of researching and learning as much as I can, I was able to install the 3.8" pulley myself; which saved 5 hours of work quoted by S.S.A.

So now my car is so jacked up with so many different electronics and aftermarket equipment that I am becoming overwhelmed with the amount of knowledge and work it takes to maintain a car of this standard.

But its so much fun learning about everything and how it works, but back to my car...
I picked it up today, 13.8psi and the mustang dyno said (264whp 170lbs torque)

I was so upset because that it was lower than Vortechs quoted bolt on. So I take it for a test run and HOLY CRAP. That was no 264whp! They said that I should bring it to a dynojet and see what you get there because its suppost to only differ 10% - 15% in between the mustang dyno and the dynojet. (being the mustang puts a load on your vehicle during the dyno to resemble real street stress) but they had one vehicle go from 284whp on there dyno to 453whp on a dynojet. They said its possible but even he test drove it and stated that it does not feel like 264whp.

And now I know theres no way it is because on the way home a 1993 5.5 mustang gt all motor came up to me and wanted to do a roll run and I was like I was going to lose, but we went and it was my first time to get it in 3rd gear after the tuning and man I killed that v8. Everything was gutted in his car, just two Sparco seats an engine.

So I am thinking a might be getting the power I am wanting, just not the reading.
