See here is where my problem is. I bought the car with the Vortech supercharger, aftermarket header (unknown maker), and exhaust already installed.

Brought it to a honda dealer before purchase to exam the integrity of the engine and everything turned out good.

A week after purchase a was told by a good friend to have a tuner down in Houston to look at it, Cause only they can tell you if this set up is safe. I was like, "its not safe?"

So I brought it down to a place called Secret Services Auto. Very high class and very experienced. Told that I need to get Many things upgraded, so they gave me a list of things they would purchase for the car: total = $3767.40 (with labor and tuning).

They made it sound so imperative that I switch to a standalone ECU, Bigger injectors over stock, bigger exhaust, map sensor, tunning and dyno test.

So I decided since there upgrading all that, might as well up the boost. So after weeks of researching and learning as much as I can, I was able to install the 3.8" pulley myself; which saved 5 hours of work quoted by S.S.A.

So now my car is so jacked up with so many different electronics and aftermarket equipment that I am becoming overwhelmed with the amount of knowledge and work it takes to maintain a car of this standard.

But its so much fun learning about everything and how it works, but back to my car...
I picked it up today, 13.8psi and the mustang dyno said (264whp 170lbs torque)

I was so upset because that it was lower than Vortechs quoted bolt on. So I take it for a test run and HOLY CRAP. That was no 264whp! They said that I should bring it to a dynojet and see what you get there because its suppost to only differ 10% - 15% in between the mustang dyno and the dynojet. (being the mustang puts a load on your vehicle during the dyno to resemble real street stress) but they had one vehicle go from 284whp on there dyno to 453whp on a dynojet. They said its possible but even he test drove it and stated that it does not feel like 264whp.

And now I know theres no way it is because on the way home a 1993 5.5 mustang gt all motor came up to me and wanted to do a roll run and I was like I was going to lose, but we went and it was my first time to get it in 3rd gear after the tuning and man I killed that v8. Everything was gutted in his car, just two Sparco seats an engine.

So I am thinking a might be getting the power I am wanting, just not the reading.
you can't assume max PSI as an indicator of your end WHP. At the end of the day 13.8 psi is just a number. Maybe you have other issues that tuning can't rectify. For example: low compression numbers on some cylinders can affect your overall output, since you bought the car used (especially boosted) there maybe unknown issues.

Diagnose the health of your motor first (compression, leakdown), diagnose your drivetrain (check your clutch maybe it's slipping).

I know this sounds frustrating to you and more like bearer of bad news but going through the basics helps (unfortunately finding an issue at this stage often times cost a lot of money).

Goodluck and another advice, the way your tuner says things about your car problems does not really give me a good impression about them. I'm not really confident with your tuner.

I Hope not! I brought it to a mechanic before I had it tuned to check compression and anything else that could of been damaged before by the previous owner, and everything checked out great.

I should ,however, probably check everything over again to see if anything transpired while the tuners were tuning it.

I am going to put the car on a dynojet today or tomorrow to see if I get a different result and then I will see if its the car, tuner, or hopefully the dyno

The clutch slipping would explain a high boost number ie; 14psi and low output. Some clutches when they go won't slip enough to notice in the lower gears, but put a bigger load on the engine such as 4th gear for dyno runs and it will.

Thanks for that. Did not know that that could be the problem, I am bringing it to the dynojet tomorrow to do two runs and we will see where I need to go from there.

Thanks everyone for your input. I will post the dynograph tomorrow.

You should be able to tell rather easily if your clutch is slipping in 4th.

I dont think its slipping, but I have not pushed it all the way to 9000rpm yet.

but if I end up getting the numbers I was looking for from the dynojet instead of the mustang dyno, then I will be happy! I just do not know exactly what number should resemble my set up?

Just got it back from the dynojet and the numbers where 259whp at 13psi.

I do not know what the problem is but I am going to have my local performance shop do A leak down test because it drives perfect and

everything sounds great, its just does not have any power. I am so frustrated.
