i used oem bearings in my motor. are you familiar with the sizing of the bearings? each rod, each journal on the crank, and the block all have stampings on them. you use the chart in the manual to figure out which size bearing you need.

with acl's, they are all one size. so some clearances will be tighter or looser than others. i wouldn't be comfortable with that on a motor that spins to 9k rpm's +.

Some people have success with ACL's, but think about what i just typed. they're like a one size fits all, not exactly ideal.

the acl bearings will work fine.. it does help to see what colors the stock bearings are first, then see if the green or yellow acls suffice to the stock color range.

Thanks man. ^^ Im going to Charlotte this week to get the stock parts from the motor so Ill be able to get a look at the bearings soon.

On another note, I did sell the turbo thats pictured above. The guy building the block is getting me rediculous price on a new toy, but Im not totally sure which its going to be yet. Atm, a BW 372r is at the top of the list right above a Precision 7675. Hopefully someone that runs a 372 will chime in, Id like to know what it drives like in terms of spool and lag

Im not sure yet. Honestly Casey, Im so deprived of the car right now I could give a shit if it has 27hp to the tires when I get it back together. I just wanna it for Gods sake ya know . I will say this, my high boost tune will be upper 20s so the final number could vary depending on the turbo I go with. Mostly likely a 372 like I said

Its a t4. I dont know how much sense this will make to everyone, but Im really looking for something that has a bit of lag then makes you hold on for dear life when spooled and supplies a good deal of top end. I have spoke with my tuner/builder several times along with other reputable guys in the same field and they assure me its an excellent choice. Another reason is I want to be that "s2k with a monster ass turbo" guy, as a lot of people around here tned to follow similar setups. Gotta be a little different I guess

the "best" way to do that is to pick a turbo that will make the power number you want, then get the smallest turbine housing that will also make the power you want then its up to your tuner, if he knows what he's doing he can manipulate the spool with the tune to make do whatever you want!

my buddys old civic making like 350 would spin tires when boost came in in 3rd gear on an LS tranny.. it had a 62ar gt3071
