It is pnp for the Sos kits...your going with the Sos mounting playe aren't you?

I'm skipping the N2000 because its getting out dated a has a completely different by patten then a N1200. A N2200 is the same as the N1200/N1500 just larger in size so a custom mounting plate is easier to make.

Ok makes sense. I'm going with what ever mount plate gives me the least problems with my comptech kit. I understand CT - Engineering makes one now too if I'm hearing right. I don't know if there is any differences between theirs and SOS. Last I checked SOS wanted $279 for theirs. not sure about CT.

What about the oil send and return line port/fittings on the 1000 vs 1200 vs 1500? Same? Or do I need to source these out? If I recall s2kadrenalin had some issues with this on the 1500.

I came into this sub forum looking for something else and found this instead!

On a CT kit, the oil feed lines are different.

Here is the N1000 next to the N1500.
Notice the 2 holes are different.

You need to buy this N1500 specific piece from Paxton (notice it is female piece):

Then fit it in as intended:

But then you have this problem:

So you need tobuy an adaptor piece from any local hose fitting place for about $3.

Which will look like this:

And here is the N1000 specific nippler for comparision ( notice it is a male piece):

Ok started gettin a bit more serious about this subject...and this is a great thread with lots of info. Today I was told by CT that their plate would not accomoate the 1500, but they do have a plate that will, previously mentioned about track cars only, still no price...but a new plate and a 1220 is $2500

SOS has an upgrade plate for the 1200\1220 that they say will accomodate the 1500....BUT, and I quote: howeverthe inlet side is different, so you would have to piece together your ownintake (I don't have any info on how to do this). So this would cause an issue with an after-cooler? Not sure. The upgrade plate is $275 and the 1200 is $1700.

The 1200 max cfm is 1150
The 1500 max cfm is 1200

The 928 Motorsports impeller is $576

At this point I would say that the 1200 w/928 impeller would certainly do the job...and if i don't have to custom fab an aftercooler, I am a happy man!

All the aftercoolers are the same.

I think what they meant to say was what I said above with the oil feed inlet. Or the volute.

The volute is also a different size. The N1500 volute is larger than the N1000 (unsure about the 1200/1220 tho highly likely and I suggest so given being a higher CFM which comes from a larger volute).

The volute is the inlet hole on the S/c where the impeller is. So your factory N1000 / N1200 & N1220 / N1500 volute is going to be a different size so your intake arm isn't going to fit. I had one fabbed up in lobster welding and polished to fit with the rest of my polished bay.

This is what happens when you use the original N1000 intake arm:

This is the reason why:
(if you meansure your own you will find it is of smaller diameter)

The old N1000 one actually squeezes INSIDE the volute secured by nothing.... as seen below, however for fear of the impellers chopping it up and going through the S/c -> aftercooler -> manifold -> and finally your motor, I decided this wasn't going to suffice:

So I ran without one whilst the car was off the road:

And here's the N1500 impeller for shits and gigs!

Then I had the metal one welded up, made and polished to fit snugly in with the rest of the engine bay.

Notice my metal intake where it goes into the Comptech airbox? Cost me about $200 to have fabbed, welded and polished.

This is what I guarantee you they were referring to by inlet & intake. No need to change aftercoolers or front mounts etc.
