1.What brand?
2.Can you find out? Since the cometic is a multi-layer
3.can you find out?

How is the off boost driveability and throttle response with a 8.8CR compared to stock?
I'll see what i can do...

Driveability is fine. I drive my car ED and i have no complaints at all. No complaints with the throttle response either. It seems to be a little more responsive, but im sure there are many factors to that.

a 8.8CR car seems to be more responsive in low rpm before boost as an 11:1? Did you check for exhaust leaks? you might have one just below the drivers seat LOL

That's what was suggested.
In my case that did not work.

info from commetic:

"In order to be able to use a MLS gasket from us your deck and head must not be warped more than .001". If it is, this gasket will not work for you".

This was after trying studs and bolts, 2mm and 3mm gaskets back and forth. I believe I set a record taking the head off more than anybody else in a damn month.

My deck did measure .002" which by Honda it's still good and under specs. Honda's service limit = .004". However, as far as commetic is concerned as stated previously, more than .001" will not seal and it didn't in my case.

Ultimately the cure of compression into the cooling system without having to deck the engine just to be able to use a MLS gasket was to use copper spray on all layers.

So far so good with S/C boost. We will see about turbo boost.

building is always the safer and smarter choice indeed.

Thank you gyus, those last comments made me feel "confident" about doing this

Funny that all problems are with the cheaper Cmetic 2&3mm, what about those IP gaskets? If it only would not be a 3mm, I don't want a laggy car

DID ANYONE HAD A LEAK WITH INLINE PRO GASKETS?

I have to deside if I put in a 3mm, upgrade the head and boost the living $hit out of it or just stay at 11:1CR and keep the boost at 10psi
