Well I'm not afraid to try to figure this out. Unless something comes along that drastically changes my mind, I'm going to give it 100%.

I trully think that w/the lowered compression, and direct injection, I can see 700whp+ on pump gas.

Of course I said this on the stock motor, but still feel it's do-able.

I'll make sure to post my results, again alot of good information, and ideas to consider.

Thanks everyone for contributing, keep the info coming.
All I can suggest for you then is to run more then 75% meth. 100% would be ideal. Your less likely to flood/wash your pistons from less then ideal atomization if your injecting a combustible mix from the get go. Monitor your oil condition often. Good luck

I am relocating my tank to the trunk but the person who orginally installed the kit doesn't have the 1 gal tank that came with the kit(we used the windshield washer fluid tank). He does have a five gal tank he said he would give me. Here is my question: would the larger tank have more of and issue with the mix sloshing around during hard driving when it is at a lower fluid level. I wouldn't want to have an issue with a disruption of flow if the fluid is moving around a lot. I'm assuming there is no baffel in the larger tank, but it doesn't say on aem's website.

That’s an interesting point. I would think so, the only way to avoid that is to keep the levels up, which on a 5gal tank is allot of extra weight. I would just pick up a one gal. Probably order one from Summit, or any of the other injection companies.

The only practical purpose I see with a tank that size is if your doing long distance racing... or only prefer to top off the tank once every other year

The weight is def an issue as well, that is why i was so concerned as i would never have the tank that full. Seems like more of a waste of space than anything, but it is free so I have to consider it as an option

Yeah but I’m thinking that’s a hell of a price to pay for a free item. I haven’t priced a tank separately, but the one gal couldn’t be more then $30-50.

I actually have one that came with my AEM kit, but I robbed the low level sensor out of it and modified a radiator overflow tank that I’m using instead. I’d prefer to hang onto it just incase I decide to go back to a bigger tank for track.

Also, what would be the best placement for the check valve, Im assuming it should be placed at the point where the fluid hose is at its lowest level. In my case this would probably be right after the pump. Right now mine is about 2 feet from the jet.

I recommend placing the check valve close to the jet cause it holds the meth in the line up to that point. so when you start spraying again it doesnt have to make up for that space.

Ok. So the check valve will hold all the fluid before the valve (between the valve and the tank/pump)not the after the valve(between the valve and the jet). Therefore in makes sense to put the valve as close to the jet as possible. Otherwise if the ck valve held the fluid after itself I would be placinging it closer to the pump. Just trying to paint a clear picture for myself and others. Please Correct me if I am wrong.

Correct.

Tho guys with the AEM kit dont run any kinda check valve because the AEM CV is crap.. theres a delay up to 2 seconds before it opens up.

So if you have that just dont run it at all.
