THE OFFICIAL: WATER/METHANOL INJECTION Thread

Here is a setup to allow you to calculate the amount of flow that you would need.
One big thing to note about the jetting is to ensure that the nozzle points in the OPPOSITE flow of the incoming air. This ensures that the water/meth mixture atomizes in the airflow. Otherwise the mixture will puddle and the mixture will flow higher into 1 cylinder than the others.

This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to hydro lock the motor since you are spraying water in?

no because its a controled amount entering the motor..

lol talk about a bump!
But on another note I definitely think I am going to install a direct port injection system this winter.

I'm sold on this...just want to take any steps I can to make sure it's safe and reliable.
Post up if you take this route, any and all help would be appreciated.
Heres my IWMI system.
Parts starting from top left clock wise
-CMGS (Controller, boost/flow gauge, failsafe)
-Flow sensor w/ check valve and built in filter
-CM5 injectors
-4 Port block

Aquatec 200psi pump
(This comes with all the new AEM kits now)

All of the parts are from Coolingmist.com besides the AEM tank.
I love the all in one gauge because you can set fail safe base on flow unlike the AEM flow gauge where its just a gauge and a light.
(ex: no flow or high flow.. grounds the NOS wire connected to my kpro and switches to a safe map and opens wastegate)
You can also adjust duty cycle of the pump, so if you need a little less then what your injectors are rated for then you can lower it.
It displays flow by the LEDs across the top of the gauge (50cc or 100cc or 200cc each LED) and engine boost pressure on the middle or you can set it to flow rate so you see a more precise number.
Only problem I have with the CMGS is that it doesnt work with the AEM float switch in the meth tank. CMGS is set to closed circuit for a low tank while the AEM switch is a closed circuit for a full tank. So I couldnt wire the tank switch up.. not a big deal cause I will just check the tank more often.

That's a nice setup and clean install Dave
How big is the tank ?
How big is the tank ?
The tank is the AEM 1 gallon tank
How is the direct port meth setup working for you? Did you have a single nozzle before?
