Group IV synthetics.... no thank you sir.
Mobil 1 is a group IV, it's not really a full synthetic, it's a blend.

Group V please!
Amsoil
Motul
Redline

^ These are oils I trust.

Also, the second number is the number that matters once up to temp, I see little to be saved with this except for a low oil pressure issue possible at cold temps due to the "0". Thus TCT ticking and such might occur.

Not sure how much of a difference it makes but the filter element on the wix seems so much smaller. I use the PCX myself because I bought a 1/2 dozen from a group buy.

As for oil, I've used M1, Motul, Rotella, and Valvoline; never really noticed a difference between any of them. I recently tried Castrol Edge Titanium and right away noticed the car felt peppier, not sure why that was.

Valvoline 10/40 conventional, I ran 10/30 Mobil 1 and had issues now everything is good. I will likely switch to Brad Penn in the future though.

Go ahead and take a peek at how much zinc and phosphorus Mobil's racing oils have (last two). Regular Mobil 1 still has zinc and phos, they've just taken a lot of it out to continue meeting standards/certifications (high zinc reacts with and kills catalytic converters), hence why the racing oil is deemed "track use only". Their racing oil is a completely different animal and shouldn't be associated with regular off the shelf Mobil 1 oil.

Amsoil is great oil too, here are their levels.

I'm going to give the M1 racing oil a try and follow up with some UOAs.

actually diesel oil (which is great to use in race engines) has more zddp than premium amsoil. yes the amsoil dominator is packed with zddp

brad penn ~1500
amsoil dominator ~1575
amsoil premium ~1380
redline ~1580
schaffers ~1750
