30wt Joey? You should be running thicker.
hmmm I was under the impression that all oil is essentially the same "weight" when warmed up its only during the start where there difference is seen?

I will switch to a thicker oil if it helps I just figured I would go with OEM specs, as far as finding AMSOIL, I order from there online store its like $7.xx a quart but was delivered next day

Nope. The two numbers indicate all the cold/ hot characteristics. Think of it as coldW-Hot. Your definitely not OEM either. Think of how hot your oil gets running through the turbo's center cartridge when it's glowing red hot. The hotter an oil gets, the thinner it gets. If the oils not made for that temp range it thins out and looses it's lubricating properties. The spec you need to match is high temperature shear.

It may not be as much of an issue on a water cool turbo, but we're oil cooled.

got ya thanks, yeah I hear my TCT ticking after car gets hot, I contribute that to the SUPER thin Mobil 1.

I will use this batch of 10w-30 AMSOIL then switch to 10w-40 after 3,000 miles thanks
