Been using Motul 300v 5w40 for track since I had the car and plan to continue its usage with the turbo on track. Will send off a few samples again as well.

But even with that I'm sure it's "ok" all up to you. Once I get to the mainland I will be sourcing mobil1 Pegasus 15-40 to try out. It's a full synthetic an we use it on are wankel rotary engines in the US Army RQ-7B drone. I have been flying for 7yrs and never had catastrophic engine fail. Can't go in to detail about its parameters and operating ranges but I think it's a good candidate that I would like to test for a OCI
Petrol and Diesel oil blends are 99% the exact same. They only differ when cars have Diesel Particulate filters and require low SAP oil( Sulphated ash particles ) You usually see this stamped up as C3/C4 oil.

Other than that, a 5W40 oil is a 5W40 oil, providing it has manufacturer stamps, I wouldn't hesitate using it unlike half of these snake blend race oils that have no manufacturer certification.

For the record I use Comma Syner-G 5W40 dropped out every 3k miles or 6 months.
