Intercoolers cannot be painted. They can however, be anodized without any negative effects. Paint reduces the conductive properties of metal.
Or your car might not have enough power, nor make enough heat to fully utilize an intercooler.
You know that most modern cars, with low boost levels can run a turbo with absolutely no intercooler right?

ya i ended up getting a can of flat black spray paint from my local napa after asking 5 separate stores for radiator paint which apparently is manufactured by monks once every 7 years in the himilayas,
I am fat n' happy with my spray paint intercooler and wouldn't pay for the expensive stuff,
