Intercoolers cannot be painted. They can however, be anodized without any negative effects. Paint reduces the conductive properties of metal.

if they did I would have had major cooling issues with my Blitz FMIC... And being in Los Angeles in dead stop traffic I would have over heated even faster... So no, I don't think your information is right...

Or your car might not have enough power, nor make enough heat to fully utilize an intercooler. You know that most modern cars, with low boost levels can run a turbo with absolutely no intercooler right?

a S14 SR20DET with a T28 BB turbo needs a intercooler... And at 15psi where I had mine set, a intercooler is a must...

Does anyone have any info proving that the radiator paint doesn't effect the efficiency? I want to hide the intercooler but not spend $150 doing so unless I have to.

ya i ended up getting a can of flat black spray paint from my local napa after asking 5 separate stores for radiator paint which apparently is manufactured by monks once every 7 years in the himilayas,

I am fat n' happy with my spray paint intercooler and wouldn't pay for the expensive stuff,
