just anodize it yourself! get a huge bucket, water, an acid or salt to serve as the electrolyte (even coca cola will work), titanium or stainless steel to serve as the cathode, a series of batteries (u can use an isolation transformer and then a dc power supply to adjust the voltage but this would be easier), and some anodizing die if u wish.
all you're doing is sending (+) from the intercooler, the anode (hence anodizing), through the electrolyte, and to the cathode (-). Oxygen forms at the + side, producing a tough aluminum oxide stronger than the naturally ocuring layer
