I went through 2 warranty turbos before I got a good one, and their estimate for repair was off by 5 weeks time!

Never again!!!

I'm not a fan of precision turbos for various reasons, but I wouldn't be so quick to blame the turbo. Your oil feed is large for an S2000, and it's pretty likely that the problem will go away if you step down to a -3 line or install a restrictor.

There is no break in period for a turbo. The bearings don't break in. They don't "seat". There is no benefit to be had whatsoever by driving easy with a new turbo.

Break in period is for piston rings. Turbos don't have piston rings.

Yeah a .065 restrictor solved the problem... but it doesnt make sense that it would all of a sudden need one when I was using a -4an without issue for so long.. I guess the turbo is on borrowed time now.

Before you say stupid thing learn the part of the turbocharger.
Turbo has turbine shaft/oil ring. That ring & the journal bearings are critical attaining a proper tolerance & seat. Sometimes clocking & torquing put the turbo in (risk)out of balance risk.

before I say anything I want to say I only ready the OP. With that said: Precision makes the shittiest turbos ever. Ive had 6 of them on my personal cars Ive built and lately they have gone down the shitter.

I had mine, it had major shaft play after a couple thousand miles and caused it to hit the compressor cover. Sent it in for warranty repair which they bitched about. Got it back a couple MONTHS later. Put it on the car... drove for a couple hundred miles and I pulled the filter off and it had even more shaft play than the first time. I sent it in and they kept telling me it was install error and blamed it on my feed/return setup.

I have been building turbo cars for 10 years now for myself and many other people. I am tech for lexus with all my ASEs so Im pretty sure I would know how to do it properly.

Needless to say I got a borg warner turbo and simply bolted it on (same feed/return) and never had one issue with it so I KNOW it wasnt my fault even I wasnt sure before.

Their customer service sucks and their product sucks thats all I have to say.
