Freddy,

What kind of information do you have on these "restrictor disk" that are supposed to help with boost creep? I was watching an Evans Tuning video and he mention them. I did a little research and is seems that they go in the exhaust system. What kind of stipulations did it seem that attributed to the boost creep, as some experienced it and others did not?

hey bro, universal 3 port MAC solenoid will work just fine. Its a solenoid (it just needs power / trigger and a ground). Message me and i can send you pics of my setup. been meaning to make a thread. just no time :-(

The restrcitor disk is supplied with the kit. They are fitted between the v-band connection of the downpipe and intermediate pipe. We recommend leaving it in unless you are planning on running over 16psi. We have tested a S2000 without the disk on the stock exhaust and it did not creep and still made 434whp on our dyno.

Thank you for the information. Sounds like it essentially adds some back pressure to the system.

this kit can be ran with the OEM exhaust?!? i would think it would be too restrictive, and cause high egt

Yes we did this per the customer's request because he did not like how loud the car was with his 3" Asura exhaust and wanted to test it with no restrictor disk to see if the exhaust was restrictive enough to not creep (success) and still make decent power (success).

Possibly, but there is not much space down there for a bigger wastegate. Leave the restrictor disk in for both tunes. I can assure you that it will not restrict power loss. See our other thread for dyno sheets for race gas dyno numbers.

i personally don't run the restrictor plate as i really think this would be a huge restriction at the 600+hp level. I run an open dump tube for the waste gate and i run a full 3 inch turbo back exhaust with no cat and i do not have any issues holding 13psi all the way to 9krpm redline.

425whp at 13psi on 91 octane and 588whp at 20psi on e85 with a full flex fuel tune.

I also never had an issue with my old kit holding boost at 10 psi in first gear and 12psi in second. The only time I experienced creep was with a 6th gear pull on E85.
