We had a customer ask a question regarding the installation of the OEM IAT sensor on the '06+ S2000 w/DBW (drive-by-wire). For those that have ordered the Option 1 system, the intercooler piping #5 includes a IAT sensor bung that can accept the '06+ OEM IAT sensor. The kit includes package # PTP-PKG-30000-18 which contains a billet aluminum block-off plug, Viton o-ring, and three M4 button head socket screws. When installing on the non-DBW model ('00-'05) you will need to plug flange hole using the supplied block-off plug. If installing on the '06+ model, install the OEM IAT sensor in place of the billet plug. The supplied o-ring and three M4 screws will be used to secure the shoulder on either the oem sensor or block-off plug to the IAT flange. See the diagram below:

Can current system owners order just the heat shield?

We had to redesign the motor mount bracket with two threaded inserts in the base of the mount in order to secure the heat shield to the mount with two M6 bolts. We will be releasing and upgrade kit that will include the new motor mount bracket, heat shield and hardware, but if you feel you can figure out a way to secure heat shield to the existing motor mount bracket, we could just sell you the heat shield separately.

Just to confirm, but this is the mount that's shipping with all of the kits that were just ordered, right?

That is correct. All new kits shipped will include the updated motor mount assembly and heat shield.

Or you can add an inconel turbo shield for $300 and be done. I will add both if room.

i'm an owner of the original ptuning kit. So by the looks of the picture if I wanted to run the new motor mount heat shelf all I need to do is buy the heat shield from you guys and drill and tap a hole on the motor mount bracket in order to hold the heat shield on right?

How is this worse than a turbo blanket? Please enlighten us. My old Ptuning car has the manifold and turbo wrapped with shielding with over 10,000 miles and zero issues and no melted motor mount.
