The reason why people jock the 8.8's is because they work very well and last long enough with decent power. I do not think a puddy mod will last very long at 700whp track runs. If that were the case, we'd all be doing it.

Nice you have ap1 or ap2 trans? Just be carful launching it went the track on Saturday broke an axle first diff blew then went with Puddymod 3.9 now axle broke replaced it today it's good now I really want the 8.8 5.9 kit but then my trans will be the weak link it never ends lol
Goes to show the puddymod is not for my 700rwhp goals. I made my decision and just ordered my full blown 8.8 indestructible rear end
nice keeping stock trans?

No. Spoke to g force about the t56 so I can use my science of speed twin disc carbon clutch along with stock bell housing adapted t9 the g force t56 trans.
great choice.

what is that g force t56 going to run you?
You don't wanna know lol... $7,800
7800 is a ton for a t56. Im assuming the t56 from g-force has the straight cut gears? If you do a normal LS1 t56, and have liberty face plate it (same place that face plates g-force i believe), custom bell housing, and clutch...you can have the entire swap, for around 4500. Thats done, driving down the road. Still dog gears 1-4, just not straight cut gears, which you dont need at all in the s2000...people run 1000+hp camaros with the stock gears, and face plated all day long.

My entire t56, face plated, bell housing, clutch was about $4700. And i have a guy who is currently in the process of making a stock s2000 bell housing, with t56 mating, so you can use s2000 clutches (with ls1 splines on the disc). These will be cast, instead of the plate welded on, like g-force does. It will be a one piece housing, where everything looks stock.

Oh btw, I will never put a corvette motor in my honda. Kinda disrespect to the honda gods lol. I'm sure the fastest s2000 in the world would agree with me running 7.3 on a 4 cylinder genuine Honda motor. The main point of dumping $30k in my s2000 is to blow the door off domestics. Not running there motors so they can have bragging rights. We're is yellow bullet when you need him? (Fastest street s2000 in the world honda f20c 4 cylinder motor)

I think you misunderstood me. By LS1 T56...i meant a T56 from an LS1, bolted behind the honda motor.

I'm having no luck with my drivetrain I have a cc stage 4 clutch, new steel braided line and fluid. I put in a metal shifter collar, greased it very well tried oem mtf and gm synchromess friction modified trans fluids. I have to really force it into 1st gear and 2nd feels very notchy engine on or off all other gears are smooth, I think it's the trans any thoughts or suggestons would be great.

Try amsoil transmission fluid. I have the same clutch and it feels fine.
I put in mobile 1 75w90 today and its shifting smooth for now hopefully it will last a while. My trans didn't like honda mtf or gm fluid at all.
