Wow, I could have sworn there was no way to get that motor out the top.

I scratched my valve cover to hell and back trying w/the tranny on and the crossmember in the way.

In the end, I unbolted the tranny and it came out easy.

Oh well....live and learn.

 

the back of my valve cover was scratched a little, its all in the angles to get it out through the top, it is difficult but it is possible

 

you must have pulled the motor mounts completely off both the the subframe and the block right? and then basically got the swap to as close to vertical as possible to yank it out.

that must have taken you some time. did you bust any sensors from hitting it in places?

 

Nope just scratched the valve cover like I said, and yes I did remove the motor mounts

 

I pulled the sensors off, now if I had pulled the valve-cover it would have come off, BUT I didn't want to hurt anything, so I left it on.
