i am far from high HP, but i run 275-35-18's and can floor it in first toyo RA1 r comp great in rain and dry. but when you get half worn, only great in dry. sucks in rain. slick with two lines.

are u still on the stock diff? I was a little afraid of the balsa wood diff to try stickier tires. I'm assuming with your instant torque and R compounds your diff is taking a beating.

I'm tempted to try the R compounds after my RE070 (rears) are done.

for the OP: I spin in 1st and 2nd at WOT and only a little in 3rd with the RE070 @ 255 width.
even at low rolling speeds (<30mph) 3rd gear will break the tires loose at about 6500rpms.

I have the Nitto 555R drag radials in 245/50/16, I make right at 453whp on them and they grab great!!!

I run them at 25psi on the street and they grab awesome, it will spin first, but grab second nicely, I would definatly suggest them as a good alternative to the MT 3793R's (255/50/16), plus I got them for $200, so price was a big seller lol

you may want to think about getting these wheels so you can run a nice wide tire....that is my plan. I'm making 430 on stock ap1 rims and stock s02's and when it was hot out I was gripping pretty good in 2nd but as soon as it got cold that went away. I'm thinking about getting the toyo 888's for the 949's

949 Racing Wheels:
17x9 +63 plug and play all around S2000, about 17 lbs
17x9 +48 slight fender roll in front, aimed more at RX8's an such
17x10 +72 S2000 rear maybe a slight roll needed depending on camber, about 17.6 lbs
17x10 +52 S2000 front race only fitment, major rolling

You should get some DR's for sure with that power. I have 275 DR's set at 18-20 psi on the street and had some issues with hooking up at times when I was at 581 whp and 440 tq. What me and my tuner figured out is to have speed dependant boost. First and second gears up to around 45 mph, I was at 17-18 psi of boost and around 490-500 whp. After that it was at 25 psi and 581 whp and 440 tq. First gear would always blow the tires off but I hardly ever took off hard in first so it didnt matter. Once we set it up this way and with my 275 DR's, in second gear and on up, it would just squat and go and just barely skim the tires. This is basically what you want it to do to get the most to the ground without blowing the tires off.
