I have for every day driving the Enkei RPF1 17x9 on the rears with TOYO R888 245/40/17 & they hook ok on 2nd gear around 550-600whp after driving for a little bit and the tires has some heat on them.

But for "Playing Time" I have the BEST THING EVER Mickey Thompson 255/50/16 on the AP1 wheels & they hook PERFECT around 750whp & the tire pressure around 20-22psi.

I'm going to be making a video this weekend of doing some street cruising. I will post some footage, so you can can see how much fun it is!!!

Hope this help,

Fernando

I'd really like to get a set of the MT's as soon as my BFG DR's wear out.

Fernando, I have 18x10 iforged rears with the BFG DR's in 275/50. Would you recommend getting the MT's in a 275/50 for my 18x10 rims when I get up over 700 whp or would a better size work for me? I know the sidewall on an 18" rim isnt the greatest for a DR but it's what I run.

I run a 275/40/17 ET Street Radial and it hooks well on the street (this is the only tire I run, all the time). I run pretty low pressure all the time, but during the summer I had no traction issues on the street. I did take the car out when it was in the 30's and had no traction, but that's to be expected.

That said, boost control is also your friends when trying to tame a ton of power on the street as well.

As far as rain and what not, these tires are fine until they get worn, then they are pretty scary if you get caught in the rain. I got about 5000 miles out of a set, but that's a ton of drag racing and burn outs too.

jesus

I plan on getting tuned on Q16 just to see what it makes, (wont run on it often if at all) but I guess on pump I am aiming for 500-550RWHP. Maybe the tires spinning in 1st and 2nd is a nicer alternative then hooking up and having my rear explode

My main concern is messing around with someone on the highway and having traction around 50-60MPH. To be honest because its twinscroll I may leave it in a higher gear than necessary (less shifting and less initial shock when I go WOT), of course this could also lead to the other car walking away..............and I just can't have that happen

I don't know what type of cars you race on the street there, but here I have to leave at about 7-8k in 2nd gear and brake boost the shit out of it. If I don't, it's catch up the first gear, gear and half into the pull.

But most the cars I run around with here are high 130-150 trap cars/bikes, nitrous/turbo'd V8's, a few supras, evo's.

I run 245 Hoosier r6 26.5 psi in the tires on 18x8's im stock height now they buldge out a little bit. In the summer and it's warm they only spin 1st and 2nda little bit I'm 521/370@18lbs when it's cold good luck. It's the most fun you'll ever have.

You might want to think about using two maps, low boost and high. Something in the low 400's for daily, and then a high boost when you want to make an impression.

Hell no, the car needs to be at full tilt, ready to get down whenever. That should be your only tune.
