This is a very useful thread. Ive been worried over traction issues for a while but this provides a good point in the right direction. Im more of a straight line guy myself, windy roads only fall one step below that however

I like drag but the occasional grip/drift also. I built my car to have all types of fun. The most fun I have is pulling next to vettes/porsches/bmws etc. On the highway and seeing there faces when you pull pass them. Power is no fun when you can't put it to the ground. I was gonna try these before the r6's kumho v700's

I have for every day driving the Enkei RPF1 17x9 on the rears with TOYO R888 245/40/17 & they hook ok on 2nd gear around 550-600whp after driving for a little bit and the tires has some heat on them.

But for "Playing Time" I have the BEST THING EVER Mickey Thompson 255/50/16 on the AP1 wheels & they hook PERFECT around 750whp & the tire pressure around 20-22psi.

I'm going to be making a video this weekend of doing some street cruising. I will post some footage, so you can can see how much fun it is!!!

Hope this help,

Fernando
Thanks for the info, ordering a set of the MT's. Are you running a boost by gear setup?

One other great tire to think about in the NITTO NT-o1's great tire for both straight line and cornering u get best of both worlds. Also not to bad in the rain.

Here's what you want, from AEM's website:

Boost FB VSS
Units: On/Off
Description: Activates the boost control against vehicle speed (see Boost Target VSS Table).
Typical Use: By default, the boost target is associated with the Boost target Thrott Map. This function is used to enable boost pressure to be vehicle speed based opposed to TPS dependant.

Yup, without VSS based boost control, my car wouldn't go anywhere on the street, even with the M/T ET Street Radials.

This thread is awesome! My S is daily driven so im trying to find a good compromise between life and grip. I think im gonna go with the NT555's on AP1's for the street. The SO2's dont grip for s**t in the wet or cold. And im only at 400ish on the streets.
