Quick S/c question
This weekend we will install my Comptech S/c kit - non-aftercooled.
The kit will pretty much just be straight out of the box and will be bolted on. Standard non aftercooled kit, 5 or 5.5 psi on stock internals, and no after market ECU etc, just I/H/TP/E. I'm not going to install the AEM 1052U, nor am I going to install the SoS 3.8" pulley and suitable belt just yet. I don't wanna kill myself
After the kit is installed, leaks are checked for, belts are tightened if and where required, is it safe to run the car as "normal"? IE: Occassional vtec, occassional redline etc. I know we will want to have some spirited fun after installation so I just want to make sure everything is sweet to do so before we do.
Last thing I want is for a few of us after installing it, taking it out for a run, and having something go wrong, and doing damage to the block / cyclinders ; engine etc when I'm 100 miles from home.....
I know after a few days time, I should check for leaks again, and check the belt, see if it needs tightening etc, but my question is in regards to after installation.
Your thoughts?

i would not be vtec'ing until you get that fuel pump in. once that is in you are fine. however, do not flake off the chance to run to the dyno just to be sure of the safety of your setup. the kit does not make boost (or at least enough to matter) before vtec anyway, so you don't have much to fear in that sense.
as a matter of fact, your car will feel very similar to stock form for daily driving after the install. no worries. i DO suggest however you buy a scangauge or something similar so you can monitor your intake air temps since you are not aftercooling/intercooling. summertime will bring forth some very high IAT's and you should be watching them!!!
